IVF Update

I had my egg retrieval on Monday and we got 14 eggs.  On Tuesday, they called to let us know that out of the 14 eggs, 13 were mature and 9 fertilized. The plan was to do a embryo transfer on Thursday morning, but they called to let us know it had been changed to Saturday because the embryos are doing well.  We should find out today what time we need to be there in the morning, but hopefully we will have a good embryo to transfer. Please pray for us on this journey. May God's will be done!

Friday Favorites

Linking up today with Erika for.....

I wasn't able to post much on the blog during March because it was so busy!  In the second week of March, my aunt "Sis" passed away.  I feel she deserves a post of her own, so I will be sharing in the next couple of weeks.  We also begin IVF #2 last week.

Last August we completed IVF#1, and it ended with one frozen embryo. I am currently taking three shots a day Follistim, Menopur, and Ganirelix. Yesterday I had 15 follicles with 9 of those being mature (containing an egg). I go back to the doctor this morning for another follicle check.  We are hoping for the egg retrieval on Monday, but we are waiting to see how the follicles grow tonight.

Please pray for us as we continue this journey.  I know that the entire process is in the hands of our awesome God. He knows exactly how many embryos we will end up with and exactly how this journey will proceed.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Today we are sharing our favorite Easter/Spring pins. This is actually really hard because I love this time of year, and I could share every Easter/Spring pin out there.  I was able to narrow it down, so here are my favorites.

What I'm dreading...

Trying to figure out what happen to our newly tiled shower.  The grout looks wet only in a certain area of the shower floor.  We have been talking to the sealer company to try to figure out what happened.  Here is a picture of what it looks like.  Has anyone had his problem or have any recommendations? It is not mold/mildew.  This is something totally different.

Calligraphy!

I signed up for the Modern Calligraphy Summit, and it began this week.

Pork Nachos

This past weekend we made Pork Nachos, and they were really good:

They were so simple to make, we just layered the following:

Tortilla Chips - On the Border - Cantina Thins
Queso Cheese Dip - We used the kind in a plastic container that you can melt in the microwave.  I found it in the specialty cheese section of our grocery store.
Pork BBQ - Local BBQ Restaurant
Sweet BBQ Sauce - Local BBQ Restaurant
Pico De Gallo - I used the premade found at Ingles grocery store in the produce department.

Just layer it up and eat away.

Friday Favorites

Today I am linking up with Erika for....

One

My husband got this for Christmas and it was really fun to fly. The second day we had it, we thought it would be a great idea to fly it outside at dark on a windy day and this happened.

Yes, that is the quadcopter at the very top of the tree.  We are talking about 100 feet up.  There was no way we were getting down. On Tuesday, we walked outside and it was lying on the sidewalk.  We knew it was probably trash because it has been rained on many times during the 1.5 months it has been in the tree.  We changed out the battery, and IT WORKS!! It is in perfect shape.  We knew one day it would probably fall out of the tree, and thanks to the high winds this happened Monday night.  The bad part is we thought it was trash, so we have another on the way from Amazon that we had ordered.  Now we will have a spare if it gets stuck in the tree again.
